Michael Shank Racing's Mark Patterson and John Pew are competing for the Trueman Award this upcoming season. The award is given to the "gentleman driver with the best race results, which are multiplied by the miles completed by the driver through the course of the season".

Pirelli Tires will be the official provider of tires at the 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Along with this weekend famous race, Pirelli will provide all Rolex Series teams with tires throughout the 2008 season.
